About Congress
IX International congress ISSAM (International Society for the Study of the Aging Male) took place in Pragueon October 1-3, 2015
This year ISSAM congress gathered delegates fromRussia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Great Britain, India, USA, Germany,Italy, France, Canada, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Israel, Poland, Belgium and other countries.
Congress audience consisted of about 400 doctors of different medical specialties such asendocrinologists, urologists, andrology, gynecologists, therapists, nutritionists, neurologists, cardiologists, psychologists, dermatocosmetologists, gerontology, as well as doctors andgraduate students who are activelyinterested in the men's and women's health, hormone therapy and preventive medicine of the 21st century.
The main Congress objective was to discuss the latest scientific developments and experience exchange in the sphere of preventive and therapeutic strategies of serious diseases treatment. These diseases are not only medical but also social problem because of their heavy healthy and economical burden that lies not only on the shoulders of a single patient or his family, but also on the government.
This so-called age-related diseases: cardio-vascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, age-related dementia and Alzheimer's disease, cancer of the prostate, breast and colo-rectal cancer, senility syndrome (FRAILTY).

One of the most important historical results of the IX Congress ISSAM was the creation of international scientists group that had developed a consensus on the men hypogonadism treatment. These recommendations includes 9 resolutions, that will be published in the upcoming Aging Male issue.
