About Congress

Dear colleagues!

On December 1-3, 2018, the XII ISSAM CONGRESS (International Society for the Study of the Aging of Men) will be held, which will traditionally take place at the LES Art Resort (Moscow Region).

Congress discussion will be focused on interrelation between hormone imbalance, aging, obesity and cancer. Congress objective is to discuss new approaches for the prevention and treatment of these conditions. Much attention will be paid to the methods of health assessment and diagnosis (SMART-diagnostics).

For the first time, ISSAM Congress will discuss the safety of hormones usage (testosterone, estrogen, progesterone) in cancer, including breast, ovarian, prostate, colorectal cancer, kidney cancer, etc. Also for the first time aspects and possibilities for preserving reproductive function for patients with cancer pathology will be discussed.

Following the Congress, international clinical guidelines will be prepared and approved.

• Bruno Lunenfeld is Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Bar-Ilan University, and Ramat Gan, Israel. He is General Secretary of The Asian-Pacific Initiative on Reproductive Endocrinology. He is President of the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male, and Editor of The Aging Male, a journal devoted to men’s health and aging;

• Svetlana Kalinchenko, MD, PhD, professor, Chair of Endocrinology, People’s Friendship University of Russia, Scientific Director, Clinic of Professor Kalinchenko    (Moscow, Russia);

• Boris Vornyk, MD, PhD, professor, honored physician of Ukraine Republic, Chair of Sexology and Medical Psychology, The Kiev Center of Sexology, Andrology and Human Reproduction (Kiev, Ukraine);

• Andrey Beloveshkin, MD  (Minsk, Republic of Belarus)
