Stefan Arver is an endocrinologist by training and has a background in reproductive physiology. Graduated from KarolinskaInstitutet in 1981 and defended his thesis in 1982 on male reproductive physiology. Stefan Arver has developed clinical andrology and sexual medicine in parallel with research programs covering these areas. He has been appointed as guest professor at UCLA conducting studies related to basic science on androgen action and the role of androgen replacement in HIV infected men. During the 90-ties he was involved in development of a novel transdermal system for physiological testosterone replacement therapy and its clinical use.
Stefan Arver has been invited speaker to a wide range of Universities and conferences and is also a member of the EAU guidelines committee on male hypogonadism and has organized educational programs and lecture series to GP:s and other health care providers and specialists in order to promote knowledge in treatment of male hypogonadism, sexual dysfunction and gender dysphoria.

deslypereDr. Jean Paul Deslypere (Thailand)

Jean-Paul Deslypere got his medical degree from the University of Gent in Belgium in 1977. After graduation he obtained his PhD in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 1984 and his Specialty Certificate in Internal Medicine/Endocrinology in 1987. He was professor of Endocrinology, Research Leader NFWO, Principal Investigator and Head of the Metabolic, Lipid and Eating Desorder Clinic and of the Dept of Dietetics at the University of Gent from 1992 till 1996. In 1997 he started working for the clinical trial industry, as Director International Operations of a central lab (BARC), based in Singapore, Jakarta, Sydney, Johannesburg and New York, setting up BARC affiliates around the world.
In 2000 he became Regional Director/Vice President Asia Pacific for ICON Clinical Research, based in Singapore. He started ICON in Asia, setting up affiliates in Singapore, Jakarta, Tailand and India and developing ICON as a full service CRO in Asia.
In 2002 he joined the Singapore Public sector where he took up the following positions: Research Director National Healthcare Group (one of the two public hospital groups in Singapore), Acting Director Clinical Trial Unit National University Hospital, Director Cancer Therapeutic Research Group (a pan Asian oncology SMO), Director of the Singapore Good Clinical Practice Program, Adjunct Professor at the National University Singapore (COFM) and Director of the Singapore Government’s CRO (Clinical Trial Epidemiology and Research Unit).
Jean-Paul Deslypere joined SGS Life Sciences in February 2006 as Vice President Asia Pacific, in charge of building up the CRO capabilities and Phase I units of this Geneva based company in the Asia Pacific region.
He became CEO of Aesculape CRO Pte Ltd (in April 2010), a full service CRO/SMO in Singapore.
In July he joined Besins Healthcare as Senior Research Fellow in the Corporate Development Department. In August he was promoted to Global Head of Medical Affairs and Global Medical Director.

 

greenbergDr. David Greenberg is a Lecturer at The University of Toronto, and is a member of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto

Over the past several years, Dr. Greenberg has developed a special interest in the area of Men’s Health. He has helped to develop and implement a number of educational initiatives for the public, Primary Care Physicians and Specialists. He was appointed as a director of The Canadian Society for the Study of the Aging Male in 2003. In February 2005, Dr. Greenberg acted as Scientific Chair for the first North American ISSAM/CSSAM meeting, and acted in an organizational role for both the 2007 meeting in Montreal, and the 2008 ISSAM meeting in the US. In April 2008, he took on the role as President of CSSAM and continues in this position today. In 2010 he initiated the process that led to his role of Editor of the Canadian Men’s Health Guidelines, part of the highly respected MUMS “ SalmonColoured Series.”  The Guidelines, which are to be published in 2015, have been reviewed to wide acclaim by experts and Primary Care providers alike. They are the foundation of what has come to be known as “ The Canadian Model” for the optimizing of Men’s Health Care. By being distributed to all Primary Care Practitioners in a country, the Guidelines will ensure that they will all have the basic knowledge and information required to care for the specific issues relating to Men’s Health. David was also recently appointed Director of The Canadian Men's Health Foundation,  an NGO founded by Dr. Larry Goldenberg to promote the health of men of all ages across Canada.

Professor Hugh Jones is a Consultant Physician in general internal medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at Barnsley Hospital, UK. He is also an Honorary Professor of Andrology in the Department of Human Metabolism the University of Sheffield Medical School, Sheffield, UK and Hon. Consultant Endocrinologist at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.
Prof. Jones is a clinical and laboratory researcher into the role of testosterone on metabolic and vascular actions on the pathogenesis and treatment of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He and his co-workers have demonstrated a high prevalence of hypogonadism in type 2 diabetes and testosterone replacement improves insulin resistance and mortality in men with this condition. Also they have found benefits of testosterone replacement in exercise-induced cardiac ischaemia, chronic heart failure and protects against early atherosclerosis in mice. He has also conducted research on the hypothalamic and paracrine control of anterior pituitary hormone secretion and the pathogenesis of pituitary tumours.
Prof. Jones has edited two books, authored several book chapters, review articles and original papers that have been published in journals including Diabetes Care, Clinical Endocrinology, European Journal of Endocrinology and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, member of the Society for Endocrinology, Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), DiabetesUK, the Endocrine Society of America and International Society for Men’s Health. He is Chair of the Academic sub-committee of the ABCD. He was elected to the European Academy of Andrology and is a co-chair of the testosterone and metabolic disorders group as part of the International Consultation on Men’ Health and Infertility.

She graduated from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, diploma with honors, in 1993, after that she passed residency and post graduates studies at Endocrinology Scientific Centre, where she started her medical career. Together with medical work in Endocrinology Scientific Centre, she also did a lot of researches and as a result defended first PhD and then Doctoral theses on the “Age Androgen Deficit: Clinical Picture, Diagnostics, Treatment”. Kalinchenko S.J., as a practicing andrology, has worked out and patented a unique method to prevent androgen deficit by stimulating the body to produce more testosterone. In the past, there was only one way to compensate androgen deficit, which was by taking testosterone medicine. Now Dr. Kalinchenko’s method is used by andrologs all over the world. Michal Krsek is a specialist in endocrinology and internal medicine. He graduated at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague in 1988 and received his postgraduate qualification in internal medicine in 1991 and in endocrinology in 1997. In 2008 he became full professor of internal medicine at the Charles University in Prague. Currently he is President of the Czech Society of Endocrinology. He organised 3rd EFES Regional Czech–Hungarian–Polish–Romanian–Slovak Regional Postgraduate Course in Endocrinology in 2004 in Prague and was co-chairman of LOC and member of POC of the European Congress of Endocrinology 2010 in Prague and member of POC of the European Congress of Endocrinology 2011 in Rotterdam. Currently he is regular member of the Education Committee of ESE and is co-organising 14th ESE Postgraduate Training Course in Clinical Endocrinology in Lithuania.
His clinical work include whole spectrum of endocrine disorders with special emphasis on clinical neuroendocrinology, pituitary and adrenal disorders. His research interests focus on neuroendocrinology, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, adrenal disorders, pathogenesis of insulin resistance in endocrine disorders and physiology of GH-IGF axis.

Bruno Lunenfeld is Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Bar-Ilan University, and Ramat Gan, Israel. He is General Secretary of The Asian-Pacific Initiative on Reproductive Endocrinology. He is President of the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male, and Editor of The Aging Male, a journal devoted to men’s health and aging.
He graduated from the medical School in Geneva Switzerland. Following his post graduate work in Geneva he joined the Weitzman Institute as senior Scientist 1959 -1962, and from 1962-1995 was chairman of the Institute of Endocrinology, Chaim Sheba Medical Center and the WHO International Reference Center for Fertility Promoting Drugs. From 1984-1986 was Acting Chief Scientist Ministry of Health. He acted as a Consultant and member of Expert Committees at the World Health Organization for more than 25 years.
Professor Lunenfeld is best known for his pioneering work in humanreproduction. After describing the clinical use of hMG in men and women in 1960, his group was the first to achieve a pregnancy with hMG in 1961, demonstrated binding of hCG to LH receptors in theca cells in 1967 and were the first to induce ovulation followed by pregnancy with GnRH in an hMG-stimulated cycle in 1975. His research interests pertain to the physiology and pathology of male and female reproduction. These include stimulators, modulators and regulators of, spermatogenesis, spermiogenesis, folliculogenesis and ovulation,. His present research involves the mechanism of action of gonadotrophins, Kisspeptides, GnRH and growth factors on gene expression and steroidogenesis
At his initiative in1997 at the Royal Society of Medicine in London ISSAM was registered with the objective of promoting research , study and education on all matters relating to men health. The main goal of ISSAM was to allow men and women to age in health and dignity
He organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization the first, second and third world Congress of the aging male in Geneva ,and co- organized 11more such congresses.The last in 2014 year in Almaty (Khazastan).
He organized 9 symposia on GnRH analogues in cancer and reproduction, published more than 400 papers 19 books including a textbook on Male and Female Infertility and one of the “first textbooks on Men’s Health. He gave more than 700 invited lectures and chaired or co-chaired more than 300 sessions at national/international Meetings. He trained more than 200 local and foreign physicians and supervised more than 50 MD, MSC, and Ph.D. Students
Professor Lunenfeld has received several distinguished international awards for his scientific achievements, including the special recognition award of the United States Public Health Service for his outstanding contribution in the promotion of health from the Surgeon General (1983), the Verdienstkreuz 1 Klasse – one of Germany’s highest honours – signed by the President of Germany, Roman Herzog (1995), the Bertarelli Foundation Award for his lifetime achievements in women’s health (2002) and the World Fertility Awareness Month Lifetime Achievement Award (2005).
Professor Lunenfeld is honorary member of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology( ESHRE), the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), German, Polish and Italian. Swiss Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, German Endocrine Society of Reproduction, Austrian Society of Fertility and Sterility, and the Asian Society of Andrology.

He is Editor Emeritus of "European Urology", the official journal of the European Association of Urology (EAU ) and was the Editor-in-chief since its creation in 1975 to 2005. He is an Editorial Board member of numerous different journals. He was the past President of the EAU 2000 Congress.
He received the EAU “Life Time Achievement Award“ given for the first time in 2006.
Since receiving his MD and PhD degrees, he has published more than 500 papers, mostly in international urological journals, and has contributed numerous chapters to several internationally-renowned textbooks in Urology. Professor Schulman is also the author of five books in Urology.
He is a member of 20 International Scientific Societies.
Professor Schulman has been an active participant in over 500 international meetings and an invited Guest Professor at numerous advanced urological postgraduate training courses, symposiums and lectures in Europe, and North and South America.

He is a Royal College of Pathologists College Tutor, President of the Irish Hyperlipidaemia Association, Chairman of the Northern Ireland Regional Audit Committee, Chairman of the Eastern Board Area Medical Advisory Committee, Member of the Northern Ireland Regional Council of the RCPath and Council member of the Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke Association. He is also an ACB Regional Tutor in Clinical Biochemistry. He has had forty one papers and letters published and contributed to a number of scientific/medical books.

He was born on December 23, 1966 in Moscow into the family of a military man and a doctor. After finishing school he entered Kalinin State University, Chemical-Biological Department. After the 1styear he was drafted into forces and after dismission, left the university and entered I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute, the 1st department of general medicine in 1987. 1993 after graduating from institute, by that time the name had been changed for Moscow Medical Academy, he started residency in cardiology at academic center of the medical center at the Department of Presidential Affairs. From 1995 to 2003 he worked as a cardio-resuscitator at the division of emergency cardiology of the 51st city clinical hospital.
From 2003 to 2011 he worked at surgery department of Endocrinology Scientific Center as a senior associate. Since 2011 he has been Head of the Medical Department at Professor Kalinchenko Clinic. Since 2012 he has been a professor of Endocrinology Faculty at FPPOV MW PFUR. He has passed various courses in different spheres, such as neuro-endocrinology, diabetology, certificate course on social health and health care organizing, has defended a thesis on the topic: “Interconnection between Testosterone Level Lowering and Disorder of Lipid Metabolism in Men with Ischemic Heart Disease”. Spheres of scientific interests: pathophysiological mechanisms of development, age associated diseases, development of complex approaches to prophylactics and correction.

YASSIN Aksam, MD, PhD, EdD, Fellow of the European Board of Urology, is the Chairman of the Institute of Urology and Andrology in Norderstedt-Hamburg, Germany. He is serving as member of the German Exam Board for Urology, Andrology and Medical Oncology. His special interests are in the majors: Genital and Prostate diseases, Men?s Health and sexual medicine for males and females.

He actively takes part in several national and international conferences every year with numerous lectures of his main focus: andrology, prostate diseases and sexual medicine.

Professor Michael Zitzmann, born in 1964, is a high school teacher within the fields of endocrinology, sexual medicine and andrology at the University Clinics of Muenster, Germany. Couples with fertility problems form a major part of the patient clientele, as well as men with chronic inherited hormone disorders requiring life-time attention. Michael Zitzmann is largely involved in the research of the interplay of genetic issues, hormones, psychological characteristics and obesity. He has received several international awards and grants in recognition of his work and is a member of international committees as well as journal editorial boards.

Prof. Zdravko Kamenov MD, PhD, DMedSc. Graduated medicine in 1985at the Medical University-Sofia, Bulgaria. Currently Head of theClinic of Endocrinology, “Alexandrovska” University Hospital, Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical University-Sofia. Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). Fellow of the European Committee for Sexual Medicine (FECSM). He established and is currently President of Bulgarian Association for Sexual Medicine. Main interests in diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, andrology, sexual medicine, reproductive endocrinology.
